NC Republicans.com sent a survey to their email list of "conservative activists and leaders" from across the state and got 365 responses. Below are the results from their GOP primary question:

This is the last of our questions. Our grassroots survey asked: If the Republican primary for governor were held today, which candidate would you vote for?

** Fred Smith 56.9% **

** Pat McCrory 17.6% **

** Bob Orr 14.1% **

** Bill Graham 11.4% **

Fifty-nine survey participants skipped this question.
